Eric Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in the treatment of adults with various mental health disorders. He believes in using a person-centered approach to build from a person’s personal strengths, then utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to the client as an individual. Eric is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but is also trained to use a variety of other approaches to help clients meet personal and professional goals.
Eric earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Xavier University in 2008. After earning his Master’s degree, Eric worked in mental health services, where he learned about a variety of severe mental illnesses including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder, among others. He has several years of experience in helping clients identify barriers and to develop and apply effective coping strategies to meet individual goals.
On a personal note, Eric enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching sports, and attending concerts.
